Charlie Holbrook
Charlie Holbrook, age 92, of Deane, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Bluegrass Hospice Center in Hazard.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Kathy Hall of Deane and Anita Spicer of Fort Myers, Florida; 2 sons: Greg Holbrook and Ron Holbrook, both of Richmond, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Charlie Holbrook will be held at 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Tuesday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Ival Dove aka Lenie Lindsay
Ival Dove aka Lenie Lindsay, age 90, of Gordon, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehab Center.
She is survived by three children: Eloise Pennington of Cumberland; Lottie Lint of Gordon and Brian Hooker of Gordon; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Lindsay; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Brett Shane Bowman, age 54, of Eolia, passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025.
He is survived by one daughter, Heaven Bowman of Eolia; one son: Dustyn Bowman of Neon; 4 grandchildren; Fiancé: Chasity Adkins of Eolia; one sister: Melina Bowman of Pound, VA; his father: Randel Bowman of Norton, VA; and the mother of his children: Anna Bowman Breeding of Neon.
Funeral services for Brett Shane Bowman will be held at 7:00pm this evening, Tuesday February 18, 2025, at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Pound, VA with Randy Carter officiating.
Visitation will be this evening, Tuesday, from 5:00pm until the time of services at the funeral home.
Graveside services for Brett Shane Bowman will be held at 11:00am Wednesday February 19, 2025, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Pound, VA.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given to Baker Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

Norman Monroe, age 75, of Jenkins, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He is survived by two daughters: Getannia McFall of Mayking and Norma Lucas of Millstone; two brothers: Dwight Goins of Lucasville, OH and Carlos Monroe of Iron Station, NC; one sister: Cheryl Monroe of Deane and four grandchildren.
Funeral services for Norman Monroe will be held at 11:00am this morning, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Cecil Howard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery at Seco.
