Edgar Charles “Buddy” Grubb
Edgar Charles “Buddy” Grubb, age 84, of Payne Gap, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife: Bernice Fields Grubbs; one son: Charles Ray Grubb; two grandchildren; one sister: Angela Clendenon of Roda, Virginia; one brother: Don Grubb; a sister- in law: Dora Perry; a niece: Candie Perry Looney: Brothers-in-law: Jack Fields of Deane and Jonnie Fields of Gordon; two nephews: Matthew Grubb of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and Travis Grubb of Washington DC and a very special friend: Winston Meade of Neon.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral services for Edgar Charles “Buddy” Grubb will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
The Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.
Lizzie Mae Wright
Lizzie Mae Wright, age 96, of Mayking,
passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by1 Son: Darius Wright of Arab, AL; 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 11:00am Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral Service for Lizzie Mae Wright will follow at 12:00 noon on Saturday at the Everidge Funeral Home with Dock Frazier officiating.
Burial will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery at Mayking.
