Gary Bowling

Gary Bowling, age 72, of Whitesburg, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. 

He is survived by 1 brother: Jerry Bowling of Colson.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm this evening, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Lighthouse Community Church at Camp Branch. 

Funeral services for Gary Bowling will be held at 12:00 noon tomorrow, Thursday, February 9, 2024 at the Lighthouse Community Church with Glen Gross officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.  

The Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Sheila Kay Martin

Sheila Kay Martin, age 50, passed away on Thursday February 1, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

She is survived by her father: Garland Gilliam and his wife Estelle Gilliam of Gordon; her husband: Ramon Martin of WV; 1 Son: Ronald Good of Emmalena; 1 Daughter: Monica Good of Gays Creek; 3 Brothers: Garland Gilliam of Somerset, Adam Gilliam of Corbin and Tony Gilliam of Gordon; 1 Sister: Cindy Mowry of North Carolina; Maternal Grandfather: Shafter Couch of Sassafras and 4 Grandchildren.

Visitation for Sheila Kay Martin will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm today, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard.

A Memorial Service for Sheila Kay Martin will follow at 2:00pm this afternoon, on Wednesday, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with B.J. Campbell officiating. 

The Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard is in charge of the arrangements.

Joseph Wade Addington

Joseph Wade Addington, age 42, of Byron, GA, formerly of Jenkins, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. 

He is survived by his parents: James and Debra Meade Addington; his wife: Marcelina “Marcy” Reid Addington; 1 son: Xzavier Addington; 4 stepchildren: Brian, Dylan, Julia, and Shane; 1 brother: Wes Addington; 2 nephews and one grandchild.

Visitation will begin after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, at the Burdine Free Will Baptist Church with a service starting at 7:00pm this evening. 

Funeral services for Joseph Wade Addington will be held at the Burdine Free Will Baptist Church at 11:00am tomorrow, Thursday, February 8, 2024. with Randy Joe Johnson, Mike Sparks, and Victoria Reid officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Addington Cemetery at Jenkins.

Donna Faye Collins 

Donna Faye Collins, age 72, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2024 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. 

She is survived by her children:

Ronnie Bowling, Phillip Bowling, James Bowling, June Sexton and Monica Colley; a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; 4 Brothers: Lovell Collins, Oscar Collins, Wesley Collins and Johnny Darrell Collins; 5 Sisters: Evelyn Smith, Danzel Pugh, Judy Collins, Christine Costa and Rose Pugh; 3 Step Brothers: John Paul Morton, Charles Morton and Stephen Morton and Step Sister: Tina Sexton.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00pm Friday, February 9, 2024 with services at 7:00pm.  

Funeral services for Donna Faye Collins will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Hindman Funeral Chapel in Hindman with Jerry McKinley Holland and Joe Burns officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery at Colson.

Roberta “Bobbie” Jo Gothard

Roberta “Bobbie” Jo Gothard, age 84, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at her residence. 

She is survived by 2 daughters: Cathy Boggs of Benham and Christy Whitaker of Ovenfork; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; James Richard Gilliam of Dunedin, FL and 1 sister-in-law: Dorothy Butler of Middletown KY.

Visitation will be after 5:00pm tomorrow, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Dennis Williams officiating.

Burial and a graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 9, 2024 at Mountain View Cemetery.
