Henry Ray Bentley, age 85, of Jenkins, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Whitesburg ARH.

He is survived by 1 daughter: Kim Bentley of Jenkins; 2 sons: Henry “Bubs” Bentley II of Jenkins and Brian Bentley of Jenkins; 3 grandchildren: Kole Bentley, Klint Bentley, and Kayla Jackson and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 6:00pm on Thursday January 9, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services for Henry Ray Bentley will be held at 1:00pm Friday January 10, 2025 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft and Jeffery “Jabo” Miles officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mossie Baker Cemetery at Sandlick.

Russell D. Akers, age 79, of Kingscreek, passed away Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at the Whitesburg ARH.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Akers of Kingscreek; children: Rusty Akers of Morristown, Tennessee, Laverna Collie of Roxana, Arthur Holland of Michigan and Cody Holland of Richmond; 3 grandchildren, Daianara Branham, Callie Akers and Ella Akers; 1 brother: Marshall Roark and 3 sisters: Brenda Fields, Heda Dixon and Darlene Dixon.

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Kingscreek Community Church.

Funeral services for Russell D. Akers will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Kingscreek Community Church with Jimmy Dotson and John Banks officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ingrams Creek Cemetery at Linefork.

Kimberlea Adams Combs, age 70, of Isom passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2025 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Combs; 1 son: Morgan David Combs; 2 grandsons: Mason Combs and Ethan Brown; 1 brother: George Allan Adams; 1 sister: Kyra Blair along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be announced later for Kimberlea Adams Combs.

Jackie Coomer Adams, age 70, of Isom, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.

She is survived by 1 son: Emmitt Adams of Blackey; 2 daughters: Francis Coomer of Isom and Maggie McClain of Redfox; 2 brothers: Dudley Coomer and James Coomer both of Williamstown; 7 grandchildren: Austin, Cheyenne, Michael, Brandon, Colton, Alexas and Nathan; 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 and after 6:00pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services for Jackie Coomer Adams will be held at 12:00 O’clock Noon Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bufford Combs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Little Colley.

Kenneth ”Jabber” Blair, age 79, of Jenkins passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He is survived by 1 son: Tom Edward Blair; 1 granddaughter: Makayla Blair; his sister: Tommie Jean Blair Branham of Caney; two nephews: Rodney Branham and Rick Branham, both of Caney, and one great nephew: Tyler Branham of Pikeville.

Visitation will begin after 11:00am Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel.

Funeral services for Kenneth ”Jabber” Blair will follow at 12:30pm Saturday at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.
