Mary Marie Brashears
Mary Marie Brashears, age 85 of Cowan, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
She is survived by 2 sons: Billy Brashears of UZ and Timothy Brashears of Cowan; 1 daughter: Darhonda Trivette of Mayking; 4 brothers: Ronnie Maggard of Viper, James Maggard of Viper, Dan Maggard of Fusonia and Jack Maggard of Sassafras; 3 sisters: Wilma Brashears of Cowan, Betty Maggard of Viper and Barbara Maggard of Viper; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 1:00pm this afternoon, Wednesday, at the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mary Marie Brashears will follow at 3:00pm this afternoon, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church with Jimmy Turner and Jack Maggard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Banks Peaceful Hills Cemetery at Ice.

Rebecca Meade, age 88 of Millstone, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She is survived by 2 sons: Robert “Bobby” Meade Jr. and Brett Meade both of Millstone; 2 daughters: Cynthia Rebecca Damron and Sandy Maybell Webb both of Jenkins; 1 sister: Charma Salyer of Batesville, Indiana; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Rebecca Meade will he held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

He is survived by his parents: Billy and Trallis Hogg of Jenkins; 3 sons: Caleb Hogg of Alexandria, LA, Brison Hogg of Whitesburg and Regan Hogg of Jenkins and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 7:00pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Mountain Life Apostolic Church in Jenkins and after 7:00pm on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Kingsport, TN
Funeral services for Brian Hogg will held at 10:00am Saturday July 25c 2026 at the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine with Jeremy Carver, Mark Johnson and Allen McMillen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Richard Randall Bowling, age, 75 of Partridge, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the Harlan ARH.
He is survived by his wife: Brenda Bowling; bonus daughters Tracy Rutherford and Tonia Henry, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister: Joanne Dinsmore; nephews: Scott Dinsmore and Nathan Dinsmore; sisters-in-law: Wonda Lawson and Melissa Byrne; brothers-in-law Junior Halcomb and Larry Halcomb; niece Tammy Orickn and an Aunt: Evalee Bowling.
A celebration of life for Richard Randall Bowling will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday July 25, 2026, at the chapel of the Tri-City Funeral Home at Benham with funeral services beginning at 3:00pm with Glenn Cornett and Rod Raleigh officiating.
