Johnnie Reed Brown, age 83 of Sandlick, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Mavis Eldridge Brown; one son: Gregory Brown of Georgia; two granddaughters: Kelli Hickey and Raven Brown both of Tennessee; one grandson: Kevin Brown; one great grandson and one great granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Johnnie Reed Brown will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Family & Friends officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Bluegrass Navigators Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center of Hazard.

Dorothy Pennington Tacket, age 93, passed away on Saturday July 20, 2024.
She is survived by 5 children: Charlene Mason and Jeanette Yonts both of Thornton, Lucille Graves of Bristol VA., Albert Tacket of Colson and Delores Holbrook of Neon; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Dorothy Pennington Tacket will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at 12:00 Noon Thursday until the time of service at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Whitesburg.

Jeremy Todd Gunter, age 45, of Virgie, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his parents: Frankie Gunter of Cave Run and Sheila Newsome Gunter of Virgie; his wife: Tonya Thacker Gunter, two sons; Chris Gunter of Virgie and Gage Phillips of Fleming Neon; two daughters: Denise Boyd of Dorton and Samantha Mitchell of Evansville, IN, five brothers; Josh Gunter of Virgie, Jason Gunter of Virgie, Jordan Gunter of Cave Run, Chaseton Gunter of Cave Run, Chiseton Gunter of Cave Run, three grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral services for Jeremy Todd Gunter will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with Greg White, Ryan Johnson and others officiating.
Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Virgie.
Visitation will be on this evening and Thursday evening after 6:00pm at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with nightly services beginning at 7:00pm each evening.
