James Monroe “Butch” Wright, age 78, of Deane, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Wright; 2 sons: David Wright of Wise, Virginia and John Michael Wright of Georgetown; 2 daughters: Elizabeth Drouault of Monroe, Georgia and Amanda Sue Jeter of Apopka, Florida; 3 brothers: Doug Wright of Taylor, Michigan, Scott Wright and Jett Wright of Tennessee; 3 sisters: Sue Bassett of Mt. Vernon, Pat Brown of Whitesburg and Terri Warf of Payne Gap; sister-in-law: Jeanette Martin of Deane; 1 brother-in-law: Danny Quillen of Johnson City, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Funeral services for James Monroe “Butch” Wright will be held at 1:00pm Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Don Mullins officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Wednesday, and after 6:00pm Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the John P. Meade Cemetery at Deane.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Georgie Watts, age 82, of Hallie, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Hazard ARH.
She is survived by 2 sisters: Ivory Faye Watts and Alleen Watts Blair both of Hallie.
Funeral services for Georgie Watts will be held at 11:00am this morning, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Cedar Grove Church at Hallie with Danny Dixon, Elwood Cornett and Jim Fields officiating.
Burial will follow in the Watts Family Cemetery at Hallie.

Ricky Green Sr., age 61 of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by 4 sons: Ricky Green Jr., Chris Green & Justin Green all of Dalton, Georgia and Dakota Green of Whitesburg; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother: David Green of Chatsworth, Georgia and 1 sister: Judy Smith of Dalton, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life service for Ricky Green, Jr. will be held at a later date.
