Elmer Lewis Hall

Elmer Lewis Hall, age 93, of Louisville, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Norton Womens and Childrens Hospital in Louisville. 

He is survived by his wife: Alice Richardson Hall; 1 son: Delmer Hall of Louisville; 1 daughter: Ella Flowers of Louisville; 2 brothers: Doug Hall of Stockbridge, Georgia and Leslie Hall of Jenkins; 4 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.

Funeral services for Elmer Lewis Hall will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church with Danny Hurst officiating. 

Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00pm Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Hemphill Freewill Baptist Church. 

Burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery at Deane.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Dan Morgan Potter Jr.

Dan Morgan Potter Jr., age 74, of Alexandria, KY, formerly of Millstone, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Carmel Manor Nursing Home/Rehab Center in Fort Thomas, KY.

He is survived by 4 children: Tina Albers, Dan Morgan Potter III, Todd Potter and Courtney Evans; 1 sister: Ada Braun and 6 grandchildren.

A local visitation will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, in Jenkins.

Funeral services for Dan Morgan Potter Jr. will follow at 1:00 Saturday at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home in Jenkins. 

Burial will follow in the the Riley Bentley Cemetery at Deane.

The Hall and Jones Funeral Home in Jenkins is in charge of the area arrangements.

Lowell Thomas Cornett

Lowell Thomas Cornett, age 83, of Cornettsville, passed away on Saturday May 25, 2024, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Cornett; 2 sons: Barry Neal Cornett of Arizona and David Alan Cornett of Florida; siblings John Cornett, Olivia Callahan, Marsha Bishop and Mary Kay Roark.

Funeral services for Lowell Thomas Cornett will be at the Mt. Olivet Church at Cornettsville this morning Wednesday May 29 beginning at 11:00am with Kenny and Jared Salmons officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery at Cornettsville. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in care of LOWELL CORNETT to the Sound of Silence Deaf Ministry, Trenton, GA or to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

Mary Elizabeth Higgins, age 85, of Redfox, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her residence. 

She is survived by her children: Eugene Higgins, Janice Williams and Delena Higgins Toler

13 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren

2 Brothers – Robert L. Daugherty and Anthony Daugherty

Daughter-in-law – Atlantia Higgins

and Special Friend of the Family – Kristi Williams

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Higgins will be held at 2:00pm Saturday June 1, 2024 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. Jarvis Williams officiating. 

Burial will follow at Higgins Cemetery at Sassafras.

Visitation will be held at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel Saturday from 12:00PM until time of service at 2:00PM
