Tina Atkins

Tina Atkins, age 59, of Mayking, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. 

She is survived by her husband: Darren Atkins; 2 sons: Robert Collier and Ethan Collier both of Johnson City, Tennessee; 1 daughter: Ashley Collier of Mayking; 1 sister: Charlotte Keathley of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren: Peyton, Skyler, Alexi and Mishaya. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Funeral services for Tina Atkins will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Jerel Thomas Tolle

Jerel Thomas Tolle, age 76, of Dandridge Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his residence.

He is survived by three daughters: Amy Kilgore, Adrienne Tolle and Annette Beck; one sister: Barbara Marston; two brothers: Eddie Tolle and Don Tolle along with several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.  

Funeral services for Jerel Thomas Tolle will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Letcher Funeral Home with Frank Holbrook officiating. 

Burial will be in the Fields Cemetery at Cowan.

Lena Smith Mullins 

Lena Smith Mullins, age 69, of Cornettsville, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. 

She is survived by her Husband: Jeffrey Mullins; Two Daughters: Airionna Hacker & Destany Mullins; One Son: Timothy Mullins; Five Grandchildren and one on the way. 

Visitation will be after 5:00pm Thursday September 11, 2025 at the Little Leatherwood Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services for Lena Smith Mullins will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 12, 2025 at Little Leatherwood Church of God of Prophecy with Herrick Hacker & Michael Berryman officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Arthur Halcomb Cemetery at Little Leatherwood.

The Maggard Funeral Home of Hazard is in charge of the arrangements.

Glenna Smith

Glenna Smith, age 89, of Jeremiah, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

She  is survived by two daughters: Sheree Combs of Paris, Kentucky and Robin Blair of Jeremiah; her daughter-in-law: Glenna Harris of Whitesburg; a sister: Beatrice Crawford of Whitesburg; four grandchildren; Cory Harris, Mac Blair, Katie Blair, and Leah Craft and five great- grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service for Glenna Smith will he held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Pine Mountain Grill.
