Long Delays and Lane Closures for Drilling Repairs along KY 805 in Pike County

PIKEVILLE, Ky.(Oct. 6, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of multiple drilling repair sites along KY 805 in Pike County. Crews will begin repairing embankments starting at mile point 0.9 (near US 23) and progress through mile point 5.9 near the Letcher County Line.

Starting this week Oct. 7, work will occur from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. During this time, crews will drill and repair multiple sites along the route. Motorists can expect long delays and one-lane traffic when the drilling equipment is in use. A daytime closure may be necessary in areas where the road is narrow. KYTC will update when closures are required. Motorists should seek an alternate route, especially during peak travel times. Emergency Vehicles will be accommodated. Work is expected to take two to three weeks to complete.

Please watch for signage and crew in and around the work zone.

Blue Rock, INC. will be performing the work. Work schedules are based on weather conditions.
