Lynch Man Sentenced on Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

It’s nearly eight years in prison for a Lynch man who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges.

This week a federal judge sentenced Steven Wayne Williams to 180 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute meth.

Prosecutors say in 2021 and 2022 Williams was part of a conspiracy to import or multiple kilos of a mixture of meth from Georgia into Harlan County and other counties in Kentucky.

They say Williams served as the “point man” for the source of supply in Georgia, and arranged for his co-conspirator Lawrence Lucas to travel to Georgia and return with the drugs to distribute in Kentucky.
