It’s a 13-year prison sentence for the man who was behind the wheel when two Floyd
County teens were killed in a crash in 2023.
Marcus Auxier was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to several charges related to driving under the influence in the crash that claimed the lives of 16-year-old Kendra Moreno and 13-year-old MaKenna Barnette.
WYMT reports Auxier was convicted of vehicular homicide, operating under the influence, assault and leaving the scene of a crash.
He has to serve at least 85% of the sentence but is credited for the 476 days he has been behind bars since his arrest.
