MCHC Receives Funding For New Drug Recovery Housing

A new drug rehab housing facility is coming to Letcher County next year with Mountain Comprehensive Health Cooperation getting $2.5 million from the General Assembly. WYMT reports the MCHC transitional housing will be located at the English building of the old Whitesburg High School and will have 22 single apartments for men going through recovery counseling, vocational training, education and life skills training. Officials hope to have it open mid-2025
