Sad news as a Breathitt County boy reported missing by his mother last week has been found dead and with the mother facing charges.
Kentucky State Police say on Tuesday they received new information related to the disappearance of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer which led them to search in a heavily wooded area along Canoe Road in Jackson.
Jayden’s body was found there with the Breathitt County Coroner’s Office corning.
KSP Trooper Matt Gayheart says Jayden’s mother, Felicia Gross, is charged with Manslaughter, Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Falsely Reporting an Incident.
Gayheart says no more details will be released to protect the integrity of the investigation to seek justice for Jaden.
Trooper Gayheart thanked all the volunteers that spent numerous hours searching for the boy.
