The trial is expected to continue today for former Assistant Pike County Attorney Donald
Deskins who is accused of killing his wife Judith in 2021.
He was indicted for murder and tampering with evidence in 2023.
The trial began last week in Pike Circuit Court and the Appalachian News Express reports it could possibly go to jury deliberation today.
Prosecutors say Judith Deskins died from being hit in the head several times which resulted in a broken neck.
The defense says there was no history of domestic violence, no weapon was ever found, and her injuries were from a fall.
