Music Legends Vicki Peterson and John Cowsill Set for Free Whitesburg Concert

WHITESBURG, Ky. (WXKQ) – Two music legends with ties to some of America’s most iconic bands are headed to downtown Whitesburg next week.

Vicki Peterson, founding member and lead guitarist of The Bangles, and John Cowsill, longtime drummer and vocalist for The Beach Boys, will perform Thursday, June 18, at the Levitt AMP Whitesburg Music Series.

The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on the Mountain Heritage Stage, with Something Sandy opening at 6:30.

The husband-and-wife duo will perform songs from their album Long After the Fire along with favorites from their careers with The Bangles, The Cowsills and The Beach Boys.

The Levitt AMP Whitesburg Music Series is presented by the Cowan Community Center and community partners, with free admission for all attendees.
