A new addiction recovery center for women is planned for Dickenson County. Addiction
Recovery Care and the Dickenson County Industrial Development Authority say they
plan to repurpose the former Ervinton Elementary School in Nora. Developers hope to
have it refurbished and opened by the end of 2025. Meanwhile ARC and the Dickenson
IDA are already working on a men’s facility, the Wildwood Recovery Center in
Clintwood, which should be done in a few months.
