Charges may not be filed in a Thursday shooting at a home in Wise County.
WYMT reports the victim was under investigation for a series of sex crimes involving a minor
and had reportedly gone into a home in St Paul where he was not allowed to be.
The Sheriff says as a family member tried to get him to leave, there was a fight and the
family member reportedly shot the guy.
Following a preliminary investigation the Sheriff and Commonwealth’s Attorney said no charges would be filed at this time.
The shooting victim is hospitalized but is facing several charges in the sex crimes investigation.
