School is in session in Letcher County, where a rumor of a threat earlier in the week to Letcher County Central High School was deemed not credible.
Officials say it stemmed from a comment that was overheard from someone at another school and that was reported to a school resource officer.
The SRO’s at both schools investigated and concluded there was no threat.
But they urge students, parents, or community members to always report any potential threat, saying they take all information seriously.
