Coal Run Police and Kentucky State Police are investigating a Friday night accident in
which two people walking were hit by a car while crossing US 23.
WYMT reports one woman died and one man was taken to Pikeville Medical Center following the incident near Rural King.
The man’s condition has not been updated.
No charges have been filed, with Coal Run’s mayor saying so far, the driver does not appear to be at fault.
