A Perry County man in jail awaiting sentencing on burglary charges is now facing several felony charges after allegedly setting a fire in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
A corrections officer who saw some flames on August 6 went over the jail’s camera footage and alleges he saw Joshua Noble of Bulan holding a burning ball of toilet paper.
Officers claim that when confronted Noble admitted to setting the fire.
The Hazard Herald reports in addition to his four felony burglary and theft charges, he is now facing first-degree arson and 25 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment for each of the
25 inmates that officials say were put in immediate danger from the fire.
