A broken tail light has led to a drug bust in Pike County.
A Kentucky State Police trooper says he pulled over a pickup on Forest Hills Road for not just the bad tail light but also what he thought was a poorly-secured ATV in the back.
The trooper alleges that while talking to the driver, now ID’d as Austin Cecil, he saw digital scales on the dashboar and a piece of aluminum foil with a burn mark sitting on the seat.
A search turned up some alleged meth and fentanyl.
Cecil was arrested for trafficking, DUI, and some other charges.
