It’s nearly two years in prison for a Pike County man who pleaded guilty to threatening a
federal officer.
Gabriel Howell has been sentenced for the incident that happened in March 2024.
Federal officials say after Howell walked up to an FBI agent to report a possible crime, the then off-duty agent told him to call the FBI.
A few weeks later police say Howell smashed the agent’s mailbox with a metal pipe and left a threatening note.
Howell pleaded guilty last week and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
