Pike County Schools Superintendent Dr. Reed Adkins is retiring at the end of the school year. In a Wednesday announcement Dr. Adkins said he has been blessed to serve the district for 28 years as a teacher, principal and superintendent and is looking forward to his next chapter. He will work until June 30 to give the district time to find a replacement.
