Pikeville firefighters and EMT’s did a water rescue Tuesday after a car drove into the Levisa Fork through a field behind the Food City Gas and Go.
WYMT reports witnesses saw the guy go into the river and called for help.
The man was found clinging to a tree and taken to a hospital.
The car was submerged and Pikeville Police and Pike County Emergency Management had to use sonar to find it and make sure there was no one else inside.
A wrecker crew was called in to fish the car out of the river.
