Pikeville Girls Lose To Bethlehem; Girls Sweet 16 Quarterfinals Now Set For Friday

Thursday was day two of the opening round games of the girls sweet 16 state tournament at Rupp Arena.

15th Region winner, the Pikeville Lady Panthers lost to Bethlehem out of region 5 55-49 in the opening game of the day.  

All 3 mountain teams have now been knocked out of the state tournament.

In the other 3 games of the day:

Henderson County got by Owensboro 43-39

Sacred Heart beat George Roger’s Clark 56-47

and Cooper got by Danville Christian 65-63

The girls sweet 16 quarterfinals will be today:

McCracken County will face Bowling Green at 11:00am.

Butler will play Franklin County at 1:30pm.

Bethlehem will take on Sacred Heart at 6:00pm 

and at 8:30pm Cooper will play Henderson County.

The semifinals will be at 11:00am and 1:30pm on Saturday and the championship game will be Saturday night at 7:30pm, all at Rupp Arena.
