Pikeville High School Athletic Director Lukas Burchett has reportedly resigned amid an apparent police investigation.
Burchett is not under arrest and while Pikeville Police confirmed the investigation they did not say what it was about.
The school’s superintendent confirmed Burchett’s resignation to WYMT but would not comment further saying only that the results of investigations are communicated with the families of those impacted and the safety of students and staff is always the focus.
