Perry County is going to be consolidating two elementary schools into one new one.
The Perry County Board of Education says the new South Perry Elementary School will
combine R.W. Combs Elementary and Viper Elementary and will be built on the same
property as Combs which will eventually be torn down.
Officials tell WYMT it will be a completely new school with a new mascot and colors and students and staff to be a part of how those are chosen.
There is no word yet on when construction will start.
