The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 12 advises motorists of upcoming repair work on KY 317 in Letcher County.
Beginning Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6, weather permitting, contract crews with Guardian will install a polybag retaining wall at mile point 1.1, located on the edge of the Town of Fleming Neon just past the fire station. The repair is necessary to address slope stability concerns and protect the integrity of the roadway.
Work Schedule & Traffic Impacts:
- Dates: March 2 – March 6 (weather dependent)
- Hours: 8:00 a.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m. daily
- Traffic Control: Flaggers will be on site
- Traffic Pattern: Equipment and materials will occupy the creek-side lane. Alternating one-way traffic will be maintained through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays.
To minimize impacts on local school traffic, work will not begin until after 8:00 a.m. each day.
