Santiago Espinal had two RBIs and scored the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as the Cincinnati Reds beat Milwaukee 4-3 on Sunday to avoid the sweep and snap the NL Central-leading Brewers’ five-game winning streak.
The Reds lost to the Brewers 8-3 Friday and 1-0 Saturday. The Reds won 4-3 on Sunday.
The Reds are now 57-61, 10.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL central and 4.5 games back of the Braves in the National League wild card race.
The Reds return home tonight for a six game home stand opening up with a three game series against the Cardinals.
