The Reds ended their 4 game losing streak and picked up their first win since the all star break with a 4-1 win over the Braves in Atlanta night in the first of a three game series.
Hunter Greene allowed only two hits in seven scoreless innings, Will Benson homered and the Cincinnati Reds in the win on Monday night.
Greene (7-4), making his first start since taking the loss in the All-Star Game, had seven strikeouts. The right-hander has allowed a combined two runs in his last four starts.
The Reds and Braves game two tonight is at 7:20pm with pregame at 6:50pm on Real Country 95.1 WTCW.
They will wrap up the series Wednesday afternoon with a day game. First pitch is at 12:20pm.
The Reds will then be off Thursday and take on the Rays in Tampa Bay this weekend to wrap up the road trip.
The Reds are now 48-53, 9.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL central and 4 games out of the National League wild card race.
