Kentucky came back from being down by 11 points in the second half, and freshmen Reed Sheppard hit a floater at the buzzer to give the Cats a 91-89 quality road win over Mississippi State in Starkville last night.
Sheppard came off the bench to score a career best 32 points (23 in the second half) along with 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals to lead the Cats.
Antonio Reeves had 21, Adou Thiero 11 and DJ Wagner added 10.
#16 Kentucky is now 20-8 overall and 10-5 in the SEC.
They will next play 14-13 Arkansas at Rupp Arena Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm. Pregame will begin at noon Saturday here on 103.9 The Bulldog.
