There are more questions than answers in the disappearance of a Wise County high
school football coach.
Virginia State Police have been searching for Union High School head football coach Travis Turner since Thursday when investigators were headed to his home to speak to him and were informed he wasn’t there.
VSP says police wanted to talk to Turner about an ongoing investigation at the school but they emphasized he was not being arrested.
Meanwhile the Wise County School District has confirmed a staff member has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation but will not confirm if that person is Turner or someone else or disclosed the main issue.
