Letcher County’s State Representative Mitch Whitaker has gotten an update on long-awaited plans to repave KY-931 in Cowan.
Whitaker says the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the contract to resurface the road has been awarded to Mountain Enterprises and is currently scheduled to be completed before September 30.
Whitaker goes on to say he is aware that there are plenty of other state roads that need
improvement, including in Sandlick and Thornton, and he is working toward those.
