Two Letcher County students are headed off on a musical tour of Europe next month. Ben Lewis of Partridge and Paisley Fields of Jenkins, who both go to Letcher County Central High School, will perform in a concert band with students from all over Kentucky.
The Mountain Eagle reports the trip is through the organization Musicians Abroad.
After a couple of weeks rehearsing in Louisville the students will jet off to perform in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
The kids had to raise the money for the trip but got some help from the Whitesburg Rotary Club.
