UK Women Dominate USC Upstate Wednesday Night

Tonie Morgan tied the school record for assists in a game with 16 as the No. 20 Kentucky women cruised past USC Upstate 90-30 on Wednesday night at Historic Memorial Coliseum.

Morgan, who had a double-double with 11 points, tied the school record of Patty Jo Hedges, who had 16 assists against Cincinnati on Jan. 15, 1982.

Kentucky had six players in double figures. Amelia Hassett scored 20 points to lead the Cats, while Clara Strack was her usual dominant self with 18 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks and an assist.

The Kentucky women return to action on Saturday, travelling to Huntington, West Virginia, to face Marshall. Tipoff is set for 1:00pm.
