The 1-1 Letcher County Central boys will next play in the DJ Begley Classic at Hazard on Friday when they take on Magoffin County at 6:00pm.
They will play Raceland at Boyd County on Saturday at 1:00pm.
Tonight (Thursday) the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars open the season against Twin Springs VA at UVA Wise. Game time is 6:00pm.
The Lady Cougars will play games at UVA Wise on Friday and Saturday also according to the schedule.
The 0-1 Jenkins girls will next play tomorrow, Friday, at home against Wise County Christian School. That game is part of a doubleheader with the Jenkins Cavalier boys.
The Jenkins Wise County Christian boys game on Friday is the season opener for the Cavaliers and coach Winston Lee.
