The University of Pikeville Tanner College of Dental Medicine has received their initial
accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
The step clears the way for the school to welcome its inaugural class of students which is scheduled to begin in June 2026.
Dean Dr. Jill Keaton says their vision is to nurture compassionate, skilled dental professionals that are dedicated to serving rural and underserved communities which will help expand access to oral healthcare in Central Appalachia.
