Whitesburg and Jenkins Receive State Flood Recovery Money

Letcher County has recently gotten an infusion of cash from the state related to flood recovery.

The Mountain Eagle reports the City of Whitesburg is getting $450,000 from the State Aid Funding for Emergencies to help shore up the town budget that has been strained by disaster related impacts.

The state has also earmarked about $36,000 to the Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet to support survey work, title services and other property issues for the Grandview high-ground subdivision in Jenkins.
