Whitesburg Mayfest is this weekend in Downtown Whitesburg.
On Saturday May 10 Main Street will be brimming with music, vendors and more from 4pm-9pm.
The music line-up includes Cory Michael Harris, the Mountain Laurels, Johnny Pop Day and
Patrick McKnight.
Events include the Battle at the Bridge Cornhole Tournament, the Day of Horsepower Drive and Car Show and the Kentucky Mist Distillery Whitesburg Bootleg Wagon.
And before all that, the day starts with the annual Grey Matters 5K and Whitesburg Farmers Market.
If you want to participate in the 5K the last day to sign up is Thursday on the Grey Matter Facebook.
Proceeds from this year’s 5K will go to the Letcher County group ICAN, which helps people in need, including cancer patients, and also to another brain tumor organization.
