An arrest has been made in connection with a Wednesday night shooting in Floyd County. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at a home on Route 404 in the Blue River area. The victim had to be flown to a hospital but was said to be alert and talking. Mountain Top News reports a woman has been arrested on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm but so far is not charged with the actual shooting. The investigation is still preliminary, and the Sheriff’s Office says more charges are likely.
