Woman Charged in Perry County Officer Involved Shooting

There’s been an arrest in the Wednesday incident in which someone fired shots at
some Perry County deputies and DEA agents serving a warrant in Scuddy.

Kentucky State Police were called in by the Sheriff’s Office and DEA to investigate the incident at a home on Scuddy Mountain Road.

No officers were hurt when a woman from the home opened fire on a law enforcement vehicle.

Ashley Lewis-Begley was immediately taken into custody.

Mountain Top News reported the incident happened after her husband was arrested.

She is so far charged with four counts of attempting to murder a federal law enforcement officer and one count of discharging a firearm during a violent crime.
