Driver Charged After Fleeing Pike County Crash Scene

Kentucky State Police have arrested a Pike County man following a single-vehicle crash in Mouthcard.

Troopers say they responded to South River Road Monday after receiving a 911 call about the collision. Investigators say the driver, identified as 37-year-old Ryan Wilson, fled the scene, leaving behind four juvenile passengers.

According to KSP, one of the juveniles walked to a nearby business to get help and call 911. Troopers later located Wilson about a mile and a half from the crash site.

Wilson was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. He faces charges including first-degree wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, endangering the welfare of a minor, and license-related violations.

The investigation is being led by Trooper Braxton Whitmore with assistance from other KSP personnel and local first responders.
