A Floyd County man is facing charges for a run-in with sheriff’s deputies that reportedly included hitting them with bear spray. It happened Tuesday evening when a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Garrett. Mountain Top News reports suspect Shawn Francis allegedly backed his car into the deputy’s cruiser on purpose and drove off. Police were waiting for him when he got home which is where they allege he got out of his car and doused two deputies and a constable with the bear spray. Francis faces three counts of assaulting an officer, wanton endangerment, and more.
