KY State Parks 100th Anniversary Budget Could Include Upgrades

The Governor was in Prestonsburg recently to talk about the 100th anniversary of Kentucky State Parks and a renewed investment in parks like Jenny Wiley State Resort Park. The Appalachian News Express reports Andy Besheaer says his $184 million budget proposed for parks, which is still far apart from the legislature’s $112 million for parks, contains $12 million to replace Jenny Wiley State Resort Park’s marina and $1.45 million for a Jenny Wiley Archery Center. It also includes $18 million to update water treatment systems across the state parks.
