Several local communities will be getting some help to clean up illegal dumping sites. On Thursday Governor Andy Beshear announced the grants to nine Eastern Kentucky counties to help get rid of the tons of trash that people leave where they think no one will see them do it. Floyd, Harlan, Knott, and Pike counties are among those chosen. WYMT reports the counties must agree to provide a 25% match of the grant amount but if it costs more than $50,000 the state could waive the match requirement.
