In softball, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars softball opened the season at home Saturday with 2 games. They lost to Johnson Central 8-7 and won over Shelby Valley in a 7-0 shutout.
The LCC softball girls will next play Jenkins today at home at LCC in a cross county district matchup. First pitch will be at 6:00pm.
This will be the season opener for the Jenkins Cavaliers. Their district doubleheader against Cordia was rained out Friday and rescheduled for this Wednesday March 20 at Jenkins.
