In high school baseball, the Letcher County Central Cougars lost to Cincinnati Christian out of Fairfield Ohio at Prestonsburg on Saturday 16-0.
The Cougars will next play at Shelby Valley tomorrow, Tuesday, at 5:30pm.
In a related note, Coach Bryan Dean, announced in a Facebook post last night that he was stepping down immediately as head coach of the Letcher County Central Cougars. Coach Dean was in his second stint as baseball coach of LCC and says he is stepping down to spend more time with his family.
The Jenkins Cavalier baseball team will open the season at East Ridge this Wednesday March 20 at 6:00pm.
