He is survived by his wife: Deanna Whitaker Cornett; his parents: James C. & Josephine Whitaker Cornett; 2 children: Dalton Mitchell Combs & Lori Hopkins; 3 brothers: Michael Sexton, Paxton Madden & Mikey Paul Barker; 3 sisters: Melinda Eldridge, Karen Cornett & Angel Jent; special niece and nephew: Jarrod & Shianne Eldridge; special mother: Joann Chaffins Slone; special sister: Michelle Miller; special nephew: Shiloh Sexton; and special friends: Dano & Norma Gibson, Destry & Gloria Miller and Jamie & Tonya Gibson along with 2 Grandchildren.
Visitation will he from 5:00pm to 9:00pm this evening, Friday July 3, 2026, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel in Hindman.
Funeral Services for James Gregory Cornett will be held at 1:00pm Saturday July 4, 2026, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel in Hindman with Danny Dixon and Jordan Honeycutt officiating.
