He is survived by his wife: Madonna Bates of Colson; Two daughters: Stephanie Bates Cornett of Isom and Kristi Bates of Colson; Two sisters: Annette Isaac and Lena Parsons both of Colson and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm Friday at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral services for Kenneth Bates will he held at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.

Pamela Kay Halcomb, age 71, of Redstar, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband: Sonny Halcomb; 1 daughter: Tracy Halcomb of Redstar; 1 sister: Caroline Sue Asher of Cornettsville and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 12:00noon today, Thursday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy Mullins of Whitesburg; 1 daughter: Georgia Benton of Salvisa, KY; 1 son: William Duke Mullins Salvisa, KY; 2 Sisters: Nina Rose of Payne Gap and Nancy Horne of Baltimore, Maryland; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Thursday, at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service for Burns “Duke” Mullins will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Slone and Frank Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres at Ermine.

Donnie Lee McCray, age 77, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Tonya McCray Combs of Isom, Crystal McCray Reynolds of Hardburly and Melissa McCray Mayhew of Hazard; 1 sister: Phyllis McCray Feltner of Jeff; 4 brothers: Dean Messer of Tennessee, Thomas Messer of Viper, Lenny Messer of Lexington, and Shane Messer of Hazard; his girlfriend: Marie Somerton of Hazard; special friend: Mary Ruth Caudill; 6-grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 2:00pm this afternoon, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ at Viper.
Funeral Services for Donnie Lee McCray will follow at 3:00pm this afternoon, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Rogers Branch Church of Christ at Viper with Karl Baker officiating.
Burial will follow in the McCray – Messer Cemetery at Viper.

Richard Neal Yonts, age 85, of McRoberts, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Whitesburg ARH.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Bentley Yonts of McRoberts; one step-son: Richard Kelly Jensen of Louisiana; one step daughter: Amanda Lucas of Thornton; two brothers: Terry “Rocky” Yonts of Jeremiah and James Dean Yonts of McRoberts; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Richard Neal Yonts will be held at 7:00pm Friday at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Bill Craft officiating.
Visitation will be between the hours of 5:00PM-9:00PM.
